President Trump meets PM Shehbaz at conclusion of Arab-Islamic Summit

NEW YORK: U.S. President Donald Trump met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the conclusion of the Arab-Islamic Summit.

The meeting took place in a cordial and informal setting, during which both leaders exchanged greetings and shook hands. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar was also present on the occasion.

A one-on-one meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Trump is also expected to take place on September 25.

On the other hand, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif praised U.S. President Donald Trump and his team for playing a significant role in the ceasefire between Pakistan and India.

Speaking to the media in New York, the prime minister described President Trump as a strong advocate for peace and stability across the globe.

“President Donald Trump is a man of peace. He along with his team, played key role in bringing about the ceasefire between Pakistan and India,” said PM Sharif.
