KARACHI: Umar Shah, the younger brother of Pakistani social media sensation Ahmed Shah, has passed away, according to a post shared on Ahmed Shah’s verified Facebook account on Monday morning.

Umar, who often appeared alongside his elder brother in Ramadan transmissions, gained popularity after several of his video clips went viral on social media.

The Facebook post announcing his demise did not mention the cause of death. Fans and followers of Ahmed Shah expressed their condolences and offered prayers for the departed soul.

According to family members, Umar was in good health but fell ill late at night when he began vomiting. They said that during the episode, some substance entered his airway, causing serious complications.

He was rushed to Civil Hospital for treatment, but despite medical efforts, he passed away at dawn during Fajr time.
