US President Donald Trump has publicly called on Afghanistan to return the Bagram Air Base to the United States, warning of serious consequences if the demand is not met.

President Trump emphasized that the Bagram Air Base was built by the United States and insisted it must be handed back. This demand comes after the President confirmed he had engaged in discussions about the base just the day before.

In his statement, President Trump expressed regret over the US withdrawal, stating that America “should never have left Bagram Air Base” to begin with. He further warned that failure to comply with this demand could result in “very bad things” happening, signaling increased tension between the two countries over control of the strategic military facility.
