Achakzai calls for political unity and new elections in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Mahmood Khan Achakzai, head of the Tehreek Tahafuz-e-Ayeen-e- Pakistan(TTAP), has called on all political parties to come together and hold fresh general elections in the country.
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad alongside leaders of the opposition alliance, Achakzai urged political stakeholders to “sit together, make a fresh start, and take the country towards new elections.”
He further stated that Parliament must remain the ultimate source of power, adding, “If other parties agree and sign on this, I will bring Imran Khan to the table. If they don’t, we will be left with no option but to bring change through power.”
At a press conference, senior leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar stressed the need for fresh elections in Azad Kashmir to bring genuine leadership to the forefront.
Pakistan Tehreak e Insaf(PTI) leader Salman Akram Raja highlighted the deteriorating economic situation, stating that “the economy cannot function under coercion.” He warned that inflation is rising rapidly across the country and a wheat crisis is beginning to emerge.
