The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued an official response following the Afghanistan Cricket Board’s (ACB) unexpected decision to withdraw from the upcoming tri-nation T20 series scheduled in Pakistan.

The ACB released a clear statement confirming that Afghanistan will not participate in the T20 tournament set for November.

In reaction to Afghanistan’s withdrawal, the PCB reaffirmed its commitment to hold the Tri-Nation Series as planned.

A PCB spokesperson confirmed that the board is actively searching for a replacement team and that logistical arrangements for the event are ongoing. They expect to announce the chosen substitute team soon.

The T20 tri-series, currently featuring Pakistan and Sri Lanka, is slated to run from November 17 to November 29. The PCB is now working against the clock to ensure the tournament proceeds smoothly despite the sudden change.
