Dhaka: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza paid an official visit to Bangladesh, where he held meetings with the Chief Adviser and senior military leadership of the country.

During his visit, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza met with the Chief Adviser of Bangladesh and discussed matters of mutual interest, including bilateral relations, regional security, and evolving global and regional developments.

Both sides emphasized the importance of further strengthening defense and security cooperation between Pakistan and Bangladesh. Highlighting the longstanding brotherly relations between the two nations, General Mirza stated that ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh would continue to grow based on mutual respect and sovereign equality.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing defense collaboration, military-to-military contacts, and cooperative engagements.

During the visit, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza also invited the headquarters of the Bangladeshi Armed Forces, where he was presented with a Guard of Honour.
