Karachi Swelters as Sea breeze stops, heatwave and humidity rise

Karachi: The city is likely to experience a hot and sticky day today as sea breezes remain suspended allowing both heat and humidity to build up. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has warned that the weather may feel warmer than the actual temperature due to high moisture levels in the air.
As of this morning, the temperature was recorded at 27°C, but with 88% humidity, the feels like temperature has climbed to around 34°C. This high humidity is making conditions feel significantly more uncomfortable than usual.
The maximum temperature today is expected to reach 34°C. With no return of the sea breeze in sight, conditions are likely to become more intense in the afternoon hours.
While skies over Karachi are currently clear, the PMD forecasts partly to fully cloudy conditions developing later in the day. There’s a slight chance of light drizzle in isolated areas, though no major rainfall is expected.
