ISLAMABAD: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has stated that Pakistan has taken effective and targeted measures against the presence of Khawarij (militant elements) in Afghanistan and remains fully prepared to defend the country against any act of aggression.

Speaking during an interactive session with students and faculty at the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI), Swabi, Lt Gen Chaudhry said that the Pakistan Army will continue to act as an unbreakable shield against all enemies of the state.

He also discussed the recent border clashes along the Pakistan-Afghanistan frontier, the overall security situation in the region, and the role of social media in shaping public perception.

The DG ISPR emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces remain committed to safeguarding the country’s sovereignty and ensuring lasting peace despite regional challenges.

DG ISPR said youth are the guarantors of the nation’s bright future and play a pivotal role in Pakistan’s progress and prosperity.

On the occasion, students and teachers paid rich tribute to the martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Armed Forces.

University students said that more such purposeful sessions should be organized to counter disinformation and propaganda, adding that the nation holds the Pakistan Army’s role in peace efforts and national development in high esteem.

They further stated that the Pakistan Army has given a strong and decisive response to the enemy, which is a matter of pride for the nation. The DG ISPR also provided comprehensive answers to their questions, helping dispel misconceptions and clarify doubts.
