Pakistan, Kazakhstan wrap up two-week exercise ‘Dostarym-V’

RAWALPINDI:  The closing ceremony of the Pakistan–Kazakhstan Joint Military Exercise Dostarym-V, focusing on counter-terrorism operations, was held at the Special Operations School in Cherat. The two-week-long exercise commenced on October 14, 2025.

Combat teams from Pakistan Army’s Special Services Group (SSG) and Kazakhstan’s Special Forces participated in the joint training, aimed at enhancing interoperability and refining counter-terrorism tactics, techniques, and procedures.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Commandant of the Special Operations School, Cherat, as the Chief Guest, while the Ambassador and Defence Attaché of Kazakhstan also witnessed the event.

During the exercise, participating troops demonstrated exceptional professional competence, tactical coordination, and operational readiness.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Dostarym-V reflects the longstanding defence cooperation between Pakistan and Kazakhstan, fostering mutual understanding and strengthening military-to-military relations between the two brotherly nations.
