The first Test match between Pakistan and South Africa is set to begin tomorrow, and Pakistan’s final eleven-member squad has been announced.

Asif Afridi’s test debut:

The team management has decided to give 38-year-old spinner Asif Afridi his Test debut. This decision came after another spinner, Sajid Khan, was unable to fully recover from a viral fever. Additionally, spinner Abrar Ahmed failed to secure a spot in the final playing eleven.

Batsmen: Babar Azam (Captain), Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan (Wicketkeeper), Imam-ul-Haq, Abdullah Shafique, Shan Masood, and Salman Ali Agha.

Bowlers: Shaheen Shah Afridi, Hassan Ali, Noman Ali, and Asif Afridi.

The fast bowling responsibilities will be shared by Shaheen Shah Afridi and Hassan Ali, while the spin department will consist of Noman Ali and debutant Asif Afridi.
