Karachi: A developing weather system over the Northeast Arabian Sea has intensified into a Deep Depression, and the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has warned that it may transform into a cyclonic storm within the next 12 hours.

According to the PMD, the system is positioned approximately 400 kilometers south of Karachi. Its impact could lead to light rainfall in several parts of Sindh, including the provincial capital. Coastal conditions are expected to remain turbulent, with high sea waves and rough waters.

For the next 24 hours, Karachi’s weather is expected to remain partly cloudy and humid. The Met Office has also indicated a chance of light drizzle in isolated areas of the city.

Daytime temperatures are likely to peak around 36°C. Authorities have advised citizens, especially those near coastal regions, to stay alert and follow official weather updates as the system continues to evolve.
