Security forces foil suicide attack in N Waziristan, four terrorists killed

PESHAWAR: A  terror attempt was thwarted in North Waziristan’s Mir Ali area on October 17, when militants from the fitna-e-khawarij group carried out a suicide attack on the Khadi check post, claiming the lives of five civilians, including women and children.

According to security sources, security forces successfully foiled the suicide attack and eliminated four terrorists during the operation.

Sources further revealed that the attack was claimed by the Khawarij Gul Bahadur group, whose ringleader, Gul Bahadur, is reportedly hiding in Afghanistan under the protection of the Afghan Taliban, from where he plans terrorist activities inside Pakistan.

Sources said that after suffering heavy losses in continuous operations by security forces, the Khawarij terrorists have now resorted to targeting innocent civilians — a clear sign of their weakness and cowardice.

Security officials reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces remain fully committed to eradicating the scourge of terrorism from the country and will ensure the restoration of peace and stability at all costs.
