RAWALPINDI: Security forces neutralized 34 members of the Indian-backed militant outfit “Fitna Al Khwarij” during three days of intensive operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation was launched in the general area of Spinwam, North Waziristan District, following credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants.

During the engagement, security forces effectively targeted the hideouts, resulting in an intense exchange of fire that led to the killing of 18 terrorists.

In a separate IBO in South Waziristan District, security forces encountered another group of militants, neutralizing eight terrorists after a fierce gun battle.

A third encounter took place in Bannu District, where troops successfully eliminated eight more terrorists, bringing the total number of neutralized militants to 34 over the three-day period.

Following the operations, sanitization activities were carried out to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining militants or facilitators in the surrounding areas.

The ISPR emphasized that these operations are part of the ongoing, relentless counter-terrorism campaign “Azm-e-Istehkam”, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan (NAP). The campaign aims to eradicate foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from Pakistan and restore lasting peace and stability across the country.

Security forces reaffirmed their resolve to continue operations at full pace, reiterating that the sacrifices and determination of Pakistan’s armed forces and law enforcement agencies will remain instrumental in safeguarding the nation from all threats.
