KARACHI: Pakistan’s rising spin sensation Abrar Ahmed has stepped into a new phase of life, as reports confirm the cricketer is getting married today, October 4, in Karachi.

According to various media sources, Abrar’s Nikkah ceremony has already taken place, and he will be bringing his bride home today. The Walima reception is reportedly scheduled for October 6, with close friends, family, and cricket fraternity members expected to attend.

Abrar, who has steadily become a fan favorite, recently made headlines during the Asia Cup 2025, where he shared a light-hearted moment with Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga mimicking each other’s wicket celebrations. The moment quickly went viral, showing the friendly side of fierce competition.

While celebrating off the field, Abrar remains focused on his cricketing journey. He has been named in Pakistan’s Test squad for the upcoming home series against South Africa, which kicks off on October 12. The series is expected to be a key part of Pakistan’s preparation for future international tournaments.

Abrar Ahmed’s professional career took off when he represented the Karachi Kings in the PSL 2017. However, his international breakthrough came in 2022, when he made a stunning Test debut against England taking 7 wickets in his very first match, cementing his place as a key part of Pakistan’s bowling attack.
