Gold hits Rs 435,900 per tola after fresh increase

KARACHI: Gold prices continued their upward trend in Pakistan, recording a significant increase on Tuesday.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold rose by Rs 5,900 per tola, taking the new rate to Rs 435,900 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs 5,065, reaching Rs 373,595.

In the international market, gold also saw a sharp rise, with the global price increasing by $59, pushing the rate to $4,134 per ounce.

Earlier, after a brief rise, gold prices in Pakistan fell sharply on Saturday due to changes in international rates.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold opened at Rs423,062 per tola, while the rate for 10 grams stood at Rs362,707.

In the global market, gold prices are $4,007 per ounce. per ounce. This decline was mainly due to the strengthening of major currencies and a cautious approach by investors.
