Pakistan records massive drop in gold rates
KARACHI: The price of gold in Pakistan recorded a significant decline on Saturday, with the per-tola rate dropping by Rs9, 100.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association(APGJA), the price of one tola of gold fell to Rs430, 662, marking a substantial decrease.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs7, 799, bringing it down to Rs369, 223.
In the international market, gold also saw a notable dip, falling by $91 to reach $4,083 per ounce.
Earlier, gold rates in the country declined on Friday, cooling off after a notable spike in the previous session.
According to the All Pakistan Gems & Jewellery Association(APGJA), the price of per tola gold has fallen by Rs 3,300, bringing it down to Rs 439,762.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold has decreased by Rs 2,829, now standing at Rs 377,025.
In the international market, gold prices have dipped by $33, reaching $4,174 per ounce.
It is worth noting that just a day earlier, the per tola price of gold had surged by Rs 8,300, hitting Rs 443,062.
