The T20 World Cup 2026 will be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, marking the first time the two nations collaborate for the tournament. With the venues and schedule now officially confirmed, this edition promises to be a historic and thrilling one.

Tournament Schedule and Format:

  • Start Date: February 7, 2026

  • Participating Teams: 20 (divided into four groups)

Matches will take place in several prominent cities across both host countries:

  • India: Ahmedabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai

Sources confirm that an agreement is in place for the Pakistan cricket team’s match schedule. Pakistan will play all of its group-stage matches in Sri Lanka.

India will host matches for the remaining groups, as well as most of the knockout stage. However, if Pakistan makes it to the final, the title match will be relocated to a neutral venue, most likely Colombo.
