Pakistani actor Zahid Ahmed has issued a public clarification after facing backlash over his controversial comments during a recent podcast appearance.

The actor, who sparked outrage with his remarks about social media users and digital creators, took to Instagram to explain that his words had been misinterpreted.

In a heartfelt video, Zahid acknowledged the mistake and provided further context, offering his regrets for the strong language he used.

The controversy began when Zahid Ahmed, during his podcast appearance, used harsh language to describe social media users and digital content creators, which quickly triggered a wave of criticism on social media.

Responding to the backlash, Zahid Ahmed posted a video on Instagram to clear the air:

He explained that his comments were taken out of context and clarified that he was specifically referring to the creators of social media platforms, not the digital content creators themselves.

Zahid admitted that using the phrase “people of hell” (Jahannami) was inappropriate. “I regret saying this because I spoke out of emotion. I have no right to decide anyone’s heaven or hell,” he acknowledged.

The actor emphasized that judgment belongs to God (Allah), and he felt compelled to correct his statement because of the influence he has on young people. He wanted to ensure that his words did not mislead others on matters of religion.

Many praised Zahid for his honesty, calling his public apology a courageous act that showed humility and maturity.

The other hand, some critics mocked Zahid, suggesting that his “software had been updated,” implying that he only changed his stance after facing public pressure.

This apology comes after a wave of online criticism, as Zahid Ahmed works to restore his image and set the record straight regarding his controversial remarks.
