The town of Pleucadeuc in northwest France holds an annual festival for twins.

Approximately 1,500 twins, triplets and quadruplets from all ages gathered to listen to music play games and take part in the parade.

Every year for the last 25 years it has held a summer gathering for all twins to meet other twins.

Nearly 12,458 twin births were, 167 triplet births, and eight quadruplet births were recorded in France in 2017.

In the US, twin births increased by 76% from 1980 to 2009, according to the National Center for Health Statistics.
