Sindh prepares to ease coronavirus lockdown

Sindh government has decided to ease coronavirus lockdown in the entire province after which the business, transportation and public activities will be gradually resumed.

According to sources, the conditional resumption of business activities would benefit millions of shopkeepers while commercial activities would be resumed in phases.

Sources has also said that the provincial government wanted to revive Dubai-style business activities, adding that citizens and businessmen would be required to take precautionary measures themselves to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus while allowing conditional business activities.

Sindh government said that the citizens have to change their lifestyle and practice social distancing.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah will make formal announcement regarding the lockdown restrictions after consulting Prime Minister Imran Khan and other officials.

The chief minister is holding consultations with the cabinet members, medical experts, administrative officers and senior officials in this regard, sources said.

Sources further said that the decisions will be taken with national consensus and business activities will be permitted in a phased and limited manner.
