Police detains Nawaz Sharif’s former adviser Irfan Siddiqui

Islamabad police have arrested ex-Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s former adviser Irfan Siddiqui.

According to police sources, Irfan Siddiqui has been detained for violating the tenancy act, Irfan Siddiqui rented the house without notice.

Police sources said that the case against Irfan Siddiqui was registered under Section 188 in Ramna police station. Arrest was implemented at the behest of DC Islamabad. Irfan Siddiqui violated Section 144.

It is pertinent to mention, in 2018, the cabinet of the then Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi approved the summary of effective implementation of the legal tenancy in Islamabad.
