Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has announced to switch Chingh Chi rickshaws and motorcycles to battery operated systems.

According to details, ministry has announced to introduce electrical vehicles in the country.

Fawad Chaudhry visited Pakistan Council of Renewable Energy Technologies (PCRET) today, where he took test drives of electrical rickshaws and motorcycles.

During his visit to Pakistan Council of Renewable Energy Technologies, Fawad Chaudhry said while addressing to the media that, Pakistan is the biggest user of motorcycles.

Rickshaws and motorcycles are a future of Pakistan, he added.

Federal Minister said that Renewable Energy will help to overcome air pollution and Government is taking measures to switch rickshaws and motorcycles on electrical systems.

Rickshaws and Motorcycles will be operated on rechargeable batteries instead of fuel.

This technology will reduce carbon in the air and will bring positive change to the Eco-system.
