Four children, who were playing in rain, were drowned in Karachi.

According to the details, four children were drowned in a pothole, filled with water, in Gulshan-e-Maymar area of Karachi.

As per the rescue officials, Three dead bodies have been recovered, whereas, one minor in a critical condition, has been shifted to the hospital for medical treatment.

According to SSP Malir, the children who drowned include 10-year old Mohammad Shafi Umar, 7-year old Abdul Barim Umar and 6-year old Mohammad Nabi Umar.

However, Mohammad Ghani Umar is under medical supervision.

SSP Malir further stated that the dead bodies of all three brothers will be handed over to their guardians once the legal procedures are done.

President PTI Sindh Haleem Adil Sheikh arrived at the place of incident and paid condolences to the grieving family.

11 people lost their lives in various accidents, in the previous rain spell in Karachi.

Whereas, road conditions of the metropolis turned disastrous.

Spells of light rain in various areas of Karachi on Wednesday, resulted in electricity breakdown as more than 300 feeders have reportedly tripped.

According to details, electricity has been suspended in various sectors of Pakistan International Airlines since three past hours. Whereas, Electric supply at PIA Staff Township has also been suspended.

Different departments of Sindh Secretariat is also facing power outrages. However, Parts of Karachi also experienced power outages including Gulistan e Johar, Clifton and various blocks of Defense.
