Kashmir turned into largest prison of history: FO Spokesperson

Spokesperson Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammad Faisal said that Indian occupied Kashmir has been converted into world’s biggest prison.

During a press briefing, Dr. Mohammad Faisal stated that all means of communications have been suspended in the valley.

Today marks the 19th day of curfew and blackout in Indian occupied Kashmir, he added.

Dr. Mohammad called on the international community to show concerns over the ongoing situations of Kashmir. Under curfew, valley’s facing shortage of medicines and food.

A citizen died in unprovoked ceasefire violations by India on 20th of August.

Indian Deputy High Commissioner was called on 13th, 15th, 18th and 20th of August, after India’s violations on Line of Control.

FO spokesperson further said in his press briefing that Prime Minister Imran Khan had a telephonic contact with US President Donald Trump twice this month to convey Pakistan’s concern over the current situation of Kashmir.

President of USA Donald Trump emphasized on conducting peaceful solutions to resolve Kashmir issue. India will have to resolve the conflict as per the UN movements, Trump said.

The Foreign Office spokesperson said Pakistan strongly condemns the unprovoked ceasefire violations at the Line of Control by India that martyred a number of people.

Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, he said, adding that the country will continue its efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region.

Kartarpur corridor will soon reopen after massive construction, which would help promote religious tourism.

He called on the international community to show concerns over the continuous circumstances of Kashmir.
