Leaders of big political parties to celebrate Eid in jail or under National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrest for the first time.

According to the details, most of the political leaders celebrating Eid in jail are from Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

Much of the top party officials are facing cases of corruption against them.

Former Prime Minister and leader of PML-N Nawaz Sharif will celebrate Eid in Kot Lakhpat jail. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Miftah Ismael would also be under NAB arrest.

PML-N leaders Khwaja Saad Rafiq, Khwaja Salman Rafiq and former MPA Hafiz Noman will celebrate Eid in jail.

On the other hand, PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur will celebrate Eid under NAB arrest.

Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf who is in central government is also unable to provide relief to its own party leaders this Eid.

This is the first time majority of the top leadership of big political parties will celebrate Eid in jail or under NAB arrest.

Previously, PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz was arrested by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team at Kot Lakhpat Jail.

According to the details, the NAB summoned Maryam Nawaz in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case. Maryam Nawaz went to meet her Father Nawaz Sharif.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari condemned the arrest of Maryam Nawaz in the National Assembly.

After the news came and also the opposition walked out from the assembly session owing to Maryam Nawaz’s arrest.
