Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar held meetings with former President General (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf and former Governor Sindh Ishratul Ibad separately in Dubai.

Reportedly, they exchanged views on the present situation of Karachi.

Mayor apprised former president and governor on the situation of entire province including Karachi.

He said that Karachi has been destroyed as no one is ready to take responsible of the city.

Waseem Akhtar added that Karachi has been abandoned by all political parties.

On the other hand, Pervez Musharraf said that in order to improve the situation in Karachi, mayors should be given due powers.

Former president added that present government should adopt his policy of assigning powers and funds to the mayors.

He further said that the departments that were within the jurisdiction of municipality in his era should be returned.
