Islamabad and surrounding area have reportedly been jolted by an earthquake on Monday.

According to details, Nowshehra Darkan and Sialkot have also been shook by the earthquake of magnitude 5 and a depth of 12 kilometers, heading from the border area of Kashimir.

Mirpur, Azad Kashmir, Murree, Jhelum, Chakwal, Talagang and Abbotabad have also been jolted by the earthquake.

Incident spread a wave of panic among the citizens. People came out of their houses reciting Kalma.

Whereas, no damage has yet been reported.
