FM meets British High Commissioner in Islamabad

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi met British High Commissioner Thomas Drew in Islamabad today.

During the meeting the Minister has urged the international community including the United Kingdom to play role in lifting the curfew in Occupied Kashmir.

He said heinous human rights violations are being perpetrated by the Indian forces in the held valley.

He said the people of Pakistan have great respect and honor in their hearts for the British Royal Family. He said we are looking forward for arrival of Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton in Pakistan.

He said special arrangements have been made with regard to the arrival of British Royal Couple.

He said the visit of British Royal Couple will promote bilateral relations between the two countries.

The British Royal couple Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton will arrive in Pakistan this month.

According to a statement issued by British High Commission in Pakistan, royal palace announced that the British royal couple will visit Pakistan Monday 14th to Friday 18th October next month.

Prince William and Princess Middleton will visit Pakistan on the official visit.

Prior to their visit Britain police officers will arrive in Pakistan to check the security arrangements for Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton. The British police will examine the places where the royal prince will stay and also check the routes from where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will travel.

The visit will mark Royal couple’s first trip to Pakistan.

The Kensington Palace confirmed the visit and Tweeted “The event falls ahead of TRH’s official visit to Pakistan, which will take place between 14th to 18th October.”
