Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan says admiration of the steps taken by incumbent government to counter money laundering and terrorism by the Financial Action Task Force is acknowledgement of our sincere efforts.

In a series of tweets, she said Pakistan is determined to take more steps in this regard.

She said India’s ill intentions to get Pakistan included in the Black List of FATF have miserably failed as Prime Minister Imran Khan is trying to show real positive image of Pakistan to the world through his earnest efforts.

She questioned the rationale of using militia and groups to tarnish the image and identity of the country by some elements at this sensitive time.

Firdous further added that that India was trying to blacklist Pakistan, while on the other hand, Prime Minister Imran is bringing the true positive people of Pakistan to the world with his sincere efforts. For the moment, the children who oppose Pakistan are hindering the achievement of Pakistan’s destiny.

In another tweet she said that Pakistan is in FATF’s grey list. The next few months are very important.

SAPM said that in such a situation, why does Maulana Fazlur Rehman want to undermine the identity and dignity of the country by becoming a symbol of terror with the militias and the masses?
