Pakistan Naval chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi was on an official visit to Malaysia.

The visit of Naval Chief is expected to further strengthen the bilateral defense collaboration between Pakistan and Malaysia in general and the two Navies in particular.

According to the spokesman of the Pakistan Navy, Naval chief also held separate meetings with the Malaysian Naval Chief and Defense Minister.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest and bilateral naval collaboration were discussed.

The spokesman said that the Chief of Pakistan Navy highlighted the efforts of the Pak Navy in regards to regional security, especially the Regional Maritime Security Patrol.

Naval Chief Zafar Mahmood Abbasi held meetings with Malaysian Defence Minister YB Tuan Haji Mohamad bin Sabu and Naval Chief Admiral Datuk Mohamad Reza bin Mohamad Sany in Kuala Lumpur and discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interests.

The two sides stressed on the need of joint naval exercises between Malaysia and Pakistan.

On the occasion, Naval Chief Zafar Mahmood Abbasi highlighted efforts made by Pakistan Navy for regional security especially the regional maritime security patrol. He thanked Malaysian Defence Minister and Naval Chief for participating in AMAN exercises.
