Pakistan Navy has joined the Trans Regional Maritime Network, which exchanges information on the movement of commercial traffic across the oceans.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi signs a contract document at Naval Headquarters.

On this occasion, Italian ambassador to Pakistan, Stefano Pontecorvo was also present.

Joining the Trans Regional Maritime Network is an important step towards the policy of co-operation of the Navy for maritime security.

The Trans-Regional Maritime Network, based in Italy, includes 32 countries, the spokesperson said.

This network aims to facilitate the exchange of information related to maritime affairs at the international level.

By joining this network the Navy will have access to more information on maritime affairs.
