PM completes his successful visit to Saudi Arabia, statement issued

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Saudi Arabia is completed, a statement has been issued here on Wednesday.

According to the details, the Prime Minister held separate meetings with the Saudi Prime Minister and the Crown Prince during which they discussed bilateral relations, energy, investment and cooperation in various fields.

PM was accompanied by the Foreign Minister, Special Assistant, Overseas and senior officials.

Imran Khan’s visit to Saudi Arabia is a continuation of steps taken for peace and stability in the region, statement said.

The Saudi leadership expressed its commitment to further strengthen its relations with Pakistan.

Imran Khan during his meetings said Pakistan is ready to facilitate efforts for de-escalation of tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

He stressed the importance of avoidance of military conflict and constructive engagement of all parties.

Prime Minister reaffirmed that Pakistan will always be shoulder-to-shoulder with Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi leadership reaffirmed its commitment to close ties with Pakistan and reiterated the resolve to deepen bilateral collaboration in all fields including trade, energy, security and defense.

Saudi leadership also supported the just cause of Kashmir and reiterated the importance of avoiding escalation of tensions and a peaceful resolution of the issue.

Earlier, PM Imran met with Crown Prince and Minister of Defense of Saudi Arabia Muhammad Bin Salman.

During the meeting, which was second between the two leaders within a month, the Prime Minister said Pakistan considered its bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia very important.

He said Pakistani nation had a united voice for the honor and sanctity of Harmain.

The Prime Minister also apprised the Saudi Crown Prince of the August 5 unilateral Indian action, brutalities on Kashmiri people and the consequent threats posed to regional security.
