PM Imran Khan inaugurates Ehsaas Saylani Langar Scheme

Prime Minister Imran Khan has inaugurated the Ehsaas Saylani Langar Scheme on Monday.

According to details, the inauguration ceremony of Ehsaas Saylani Langar Scheme took place in the federal capital. The scheme will help feed the poor and needy people.

The scheme, currently being launched from the federal capital, will later be expanded to the entire country.

On the occasion, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Social Protection and Poverty Alleviation Dr Sania Nishtar said that Ehsaas Langar scheme will help reduce inequality throughout the country.

112 shelters are being established by the Federal Government with the help of Saylani Trust to provide shelters to the needy and deserving people, Dr Sania Nishtar said.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered that 500 people will be provided with free food on daily basis through this scheme and no one should sleep hungry or on roads, Sania Nishtar added.

The scheme will provide free distribution of charity food among the deserving and marginalized on a regular daily basis. The scheme will be stretched out to a scale across the country, providing meals to people in need, Prime Minister Imran Khan said during the inauguration.

Earlier in July, Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated ‘Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme’.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme will be expanded to all across the country.

Addressing to the inauguration ceremony after laying foundation stone of Naya Pakistan Housing project in Islamabad Zone-IV, he said that the aim of this scheme is to provide the chance to those people who cannot buy their houses.

PM Imran Khan went on to say that the housing units will be built on public-private partnership basis whereas the government will provide land and the private sector will construct housing units.

The premier also vowed to provide housing facility to poor people living in shanty areas and slums of the country. He said two slums areas in Islamabad have been identified to start the project with.
