Rangers’ authorities extended for 90 days

The provincial interior ministry has extended rangers’ authorities for 90 days. Sindh interior ministry has issued an official notification, according to the details.

According to the notification issued, the authorities have been extended from 4th October 2019 to 1st January 2020.

As per the anti-terrorist act 1997, rangers have certain authorities regarding raids and arrests in the Karachi division.

Rangers are granted with authorities every three months to strengthen peace in the province.

Rangers then take action against criminals by using such special rights.

It should be noted that the interior minister had extended rangers’ authorities for 90 days last year in July.
