Eid Milad-un-Nabi: President Alvi wishes all Muslim Ummah

President Dr. Arif Alvi has on Sunday extended his felicitations to Muslims on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, on 12th Rabi ul Awwal.

In a separate message, he said the Holy Prophet (Peace Be upon Him) established a welfare state and a role model society by better management.

The president, in his message, said the government has been striving to develop Pakistan as a welfare state based on the principles of the State of Madina.

He said the government has been making economic and social reforms in various sectors which can bring positive outcomes very soon.

The president urged the citizens particularly the religious scholars to play their role to make Pakistan a welfare state.

‘Eid Miladun Nabi’ (Peace Be upon Him), on 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, is being celebrated across the country with religious zeal and fervour amid tight security measures here on Sunday.

The day dawned with thirty-one guns salute at the Federal capital and twenty-one guns salute at all the provincial capitals.

Special prayers for the unity of Muslim Ummah and progress and prosperity of the country was offered in mosques after Fajr prayer.

A large number of people, including religious scholars, will participate in the processions.

Meanwhile, streets, roads, bazaars, shopping centres, and government and private buildings have been beautifully decorated and illuminated with lights, colours, and banners bearing writings about the celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi.

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘State of Madina and concept of modern Islamic Welfare State – in the light of teachings of Holy Prophet (SAWW).’
