Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that improvement of the Pakistan international Airline (PIA) is one of the government’s priority.

According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan chaired a meeting on the issues related to the aviation division, in which PM directed to implement on the decision regarding providing international standard quality and facilities to travelers.

The meeting also reviewed the better management and future planning of domestic airports, while issues related to the aviation division, especially the recent reforms in Pakistan International Airlines and better management of domestic airports were also discussed. ۔

Chairman PIA gave briefing to the Prime Minister and said that two new aircraft have been added to the PIA fleet and the monthly deficit of PIA has also declined significantly.

Chairman PIA said the national airline is started to emerge as 47 flights being added to national airline of different route.

Chairman PIA further said that the current management of PIA is working day and night to further improve efficiency and make the PIA a profitable organization.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed satisfaction over the ongoing reforms in the PIA and said that improvement and re-establishment of the national airline and making it a profitable institution are among the government’s utmost priorities.

Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar, Minister of Naval Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi, Minister for Planning Asad Omar, Finance Advisor Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, Special Assistant Nadeem Babar, Special Assistant Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari, Chairman Investment Board Syed Zubair Gilani, Secretary Aviation Shah Rukh Nusrat, Chairman PIA Air Marshal Arshad Mahmood Malik and other senior officers attended the meeting.
