PM decides to release captives above 65 years of age

Federal Minister for planning Asad Umer has informed that the PM has decided to set free the prisoners above 65 years of age.

The former finance minister of Pakistan Asad Umer has stated in a tweet that the PM has decided to release the prisoners above 65 years of age.

 Asad Umer has tweeted yesterday in which he has informed that the PM has decided to make a policy to release the prisoners who are ill and have no guilt of criminal offense.

 He added that this is another action towards Pakistan where the weaker sections are the top priority and not the stronger and wealthier ones.

 It should be remembered that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf member in Sindh Assembly Arsalan Taj has also requested the President of Pakistan to release the sick prisoners living jails all over the country. It was mentioned in the request that if a culprit can go abroad, then the remaining poor should also be set free and the sick imprisoned in Pakistani jails should be pardoned.

 Note that PM’s special assistant for information and broadcasting Firrdous Ashiq Awan and Federal Minister of law and Justice Farogh Naseem has said while talking to media after the Federal cabinet meeting that PM has issued orders to release the prisoners who are above 65 years of age and are guilty of a criminal offense. They also said that PM has ordered to provide relief to the teenage prisoners who are sick and their treatment is not ensured in jails.
