Trump continues his efforts to bring peace in occupied Kashmir, PM

Prime Minister Imran Khan and the President of the United States Donald Trump, had a telephonic connection today to exchange thoughts regarding strengthening Pak-U.S. relations in various fields, Khan also praised Trump after his mediation offer.

The premier held a telephonic conversation with the US president, wherein both leaders discussed bilateral relations and the regional situation. The prime minister apprised US President Trump of the current situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK), underscoring that over 8 million people have been under siege for over 100 days now.

The PM said, the release of hostages by the Taliban in Afghanistan was a positive development and Pakistan was happy that they were safe and free. US President Trump thanked the prime minister for his efforts in facilitating this positive outcome.

During the conversation, the two leaders discussed matters like enhancing cooperation between Pakistan and the United States, ensuring peace and to make significant progress toward economic stability.

PM Imran Khan meets US Senator Lindsey Graham

Earlier in September, US Senator Lindsey Graham called on Prime Minister Imran Khan to discuss about the deteriorating situation in occupied Kashmir.

According to details, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Senator Graham discussed bilateral relations and the regional situation during the meeting.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi , Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood and Pakistani diplomat Asad Majeed also attended the meeting.

PM Imran apprised Lindsey Graham about the deteriorating situation in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He said that India’s lockdown in Kashmir has created a humanitarian crisis and posed a threat for regional stability.

He said the United States could play a positive role in resolving the Kashmir dispute, which was the main obstacle to lasting peace in South Asia.
