Three people killed and several others sustained injuries when a passenger coach overturned due to over-speeding at the National Highway near Ghotki here on Tuesday.

According to police, the ill-fated bus was going to Karachi from Sadiqabad, getting the information the rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the bodies and injured for immediate medical assistance.

Earlier, in a separate road crash in Muzaffargarh, five women were killed while five others got injured when a tractor-trolley turned turtle in Muzaffargarh.

Yesterday, a bumper and train collision in Sargodha claimed one life in the morning.

According to the details, the accident occurred near Nishtarabad railway station, Sargodha.

The Sargodha Express was on his way to Lahore when the incident happened, officials said, adding, soon after the incident, rescue officials reached at the spot and started relief operation.

According to rescue officials, the collision between the dumper and Sargodha express occurred when the railway crossing gate was opened.

The railway traffic between Sarghodha to Lahore was suspended due to the accident but the railway authorities started an operation soon and cleared the track for up and down traffic.
