Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr. Muhammad Faisal has been appointed as Pakistan’s Ambassador to Germany and Pakistan’s former ambassador to Germany has been transferred to Italy.

According to sources, transferred officials include Rahim Hayat Qureshi and Shafqat Mahmood, who are appointed as ambassador to Iran and Russia respectively.

According to sources, the appointment of Aisha Farooq as Foreign Office is under consideration.

Ayesha Farooq has served as Consul General in the Pakistani Consulate in Houston.

In recent appointments and transfers, two military officers have been assigned diplomatic responsibilities in Arsenal and the Maldives, including former DG Rangers, Punjab Maj. Gen. Omar Farooq Barki as ambassador to Jordan, and Vice Admiral Athar Mukhtar as ambassador to Maldives.
