Dr. Christian Turner, British High Commissioner to Pakistan called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) today at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi.

According to Inter Service Public Relation (ISPR), General Qamar Javed Bajwa welcomed him to Pakistan and wished him well for the assignment.

During the meeting matters of mutual interests were discussed, ISPR stated.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation, Denis Valentinovich Manturov, also visited GHQ, where he met with Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

According to ISPR, during a meeting with Russian Minister of Commerce and Industry issues of mutual interest were discussed.

DG ISPR stated that both the dignitaries reaffirmed its commitment to peace and stability in the region, to strive for economic development and also agreeing to enhance mutual co-operation.
