Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi embarks on one-day look up to Saudi Arabia.

The Foreign Minister during his brief visit will hold meetings with his Saudi counterpart as well as other important leaders.

Bilateral ties and important regional issues including the ongoing Indian brutalities in Occupied Kashmir will be discussed during the meetings.

Earlier in a day, FM Qureshi addressed the 8th Ministerial meeting of the Heart of Asia in Istanbul, Turkey.

He underscored the need for achieving the goal of a secure and stable Afghanistan for the economic progress and prosperity of the entire region.

Speaking on the occasion, Foreign Minister Qureshi said that neither any nation could claim to have stronger and more historic bonds with Afghanistan nor any country than Pakistan was more desirous of peace, stability and prosperity in Afghanistan.

Shah Mehmood Qureshi underlined that recent resumption of efforts for reaching peace and stability in Afghanistan was a positive development, and expressed Pakistan’s wish to see the peace process lead to inclusive intra-Afghan negotiations.

The minister said that restoration of peace in war-torn Afghanistan will help boost trade between the two brotherly countries.

He maintained that Pakistan will have opportunities of investment, reconstruction, and infrastructure development in Afghanistan after the restoration of peace in the country.
