Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Information and Broadcasting, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said both the treasury and opposition benches are responsible to run the Parliament smoothly and make legislation for the people’s betterment.

Radio Pakistan reported that she said the opposition parties want to run the Parliament at their whim irrespective of the fact that the whole world is watching the legislation being carried out by the legislature.

Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said production orders of former law minister Punjab Rana Sanaullah to attend the National Assembly session could not be issued as he is behind the bars in a narcotics case.

She said there is solid evidence against Rana Sanaullah that he was involved in drugs trade and the same would be proved in the court.

Special Assistant on Information also said that cases against former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi are not registered by the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf government rather these were initiated by the National Accountability Bureau.
