Speaker of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council Shah Ghulam Qadir, former Prime Minister Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan and other political leaders have strongly condemned unprovoked firing by Indian troops along the Line of Control in Neelum Valley.

According to details, AJ&K leaders expressed deep grief over the martyrdom of youth and other injured persons.

Speaker Shah Ghulam Qadir asked the international community including United Nations and other global human rights bodies to play their role and stop bloodshed along Line of Control.

Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan termed the unprovoked Indian firing an attempt to divert attention from the worsening situation in Jammu and Kashmir as well as in India.

Earlier this month, Pakistan Military spokesperson Director General Inter Services Public Relations had also warned India to avoid itself from doing any misadventure or aggression.

In a tweet on Thursday 19 December, Director General Inter Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) warned India and stated “Provocative statements and preparations for escalation along LOC by Indian COAS appear to be an effort as usual to divert world attention from wide spread protests in India against CAB. Pakistan Armed Forces shall befittingly respond to any Indian misadventure or aggression.”

DG ISPR continued,”Pakistan Armed Forces shall befittingly respond to any Indian misadventure or aggression.”

It is pertinent to mention here that Indian Military Chief General Bipin Rawat said situation along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir can escalate any time.

He also said India is ready for any escalatory matrix.

He is due to retire on December 31.
