A major decision has been taken after the change of important administrative posts of the Punjab government.

According to details, performance audits of all departments and field officers of the province have been approved.

Chief Secretary Punjab Maj. Retired Azam Suleiman has directed all the Deputy Commissioners to conduct a performance audit.

On the basis of performance audit, more officers and employees at the lower levels will be removed from the positions,

The officers and employees involved in corruption will be terminated in Punjab, frequently changing employees will be made OSDs (officers on special duty).

The Chief Secretary Punjab has sought the report from Additional Chief Secretary Shaukat Ali, Assistant Commissioners and other officers.

It should be noted that earlier in a landmark decision by the Chief Minister Office Punjab all transfer postings of bureaucracy in Punjab will be done as per rules of Business and only on Administrative Grounds, against vacant posts, and operational necessity.

This is a step where merit based transfers will empower institutions and end political interference in transfer postings of officials.

The Chief Minister office in a directive issued to all departments has stressed on the importance of placing the right people on the right job on merit and has ordered for strict observance of this directive and special SOP’s have been designed to ensure that maximum productive output is achieved without wastage of time and public resources.
