Using the parliament for political blackmailing is negative, says Firdous

Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting has criticized PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for linking legislation in the parliament with his political agenda.

Dr Awan tweeted on micro blogging web site on tuesday, she said it is the fundamental responsibility of the parliament to legislate.

The special assistant said linking it with the political agenda is unparliamentarily, unconstitutional and undemocratic.

Firdous Ashiq Awan urged the PPP Chairman to ponder over the matters whilst rising above the political blackmailing.

She noted that using the parliament for political blackmailing is highly negative and contrary to the claims of the PPP.

She said those who tried to create hurdles in the way of legislation aimed at national interests will be considered opportunists.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said Prime Minister Imran Khan is fighting for the cause of Pakistan and this irks the opposition.
