At least eleven people, including a woman and two children, have died as fire erupted in a factory located in Shahdira, Lahore in early hours today.

Sources say that at least two people were also injured in the incident. the injured and the deceased have been taken to undergo medical formalities.

The fire erupted after a cylinder burst in a spray factory in Lahore.

The roof of the factory caved-in due to the intensity of the fire that erupted the whole factory, rescue sources revealed.

At least 10 firefighter vehicles arrived at the factory and controlled the situation after a hectic endeavor. They felt difficulty in controlling the situation due to immense darkness as the transformer of the factory was also damaged under the fire.

The process of cooling is still in progress.

Earlier, a huge fire that burnt at least 150 huts late Tuesday night near Karachi’s Teen Hatti has been doused.

As per details, No loss of life reported, according to Station Fire Officer Arif Usmani.

People whose huts burnt due to huge fire spent the night without shelter.

Usmani said at least five fire trucks left for the scene as soon as they informed of the blaze.

It took them around two hours to put the fire out.

The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board said it had imposed an emergency at all hydrants and also sent eight water tankers to battle the blaze.

Soon after the incident, three fire brigade vehicles, rescue teams and a huge contingent of police, rangers reached the scene and brought the fire under control after a hectic effort of two hours.

The injured shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.
