Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi told the upper house that 285,980 Pakistanis were deported from Saudi Arabia on various reasons during last five years.

According to the details, Shah  Mehmood stated in a written reply to the question of Dr Jehanzeb Jamaldini that Pakistanis have been deported for having expired resident cards, absconders, over-stayers, border crossing from neighboring countries, engaged in work/overstay on Umrah visa, working other than designated professions, Hajj without permission, theft, narcotics, quarreling and ethical cases.

In 2015, 10,826 Pakistanis were deported from Riyadh, 51,107 had been deported from Jeddah. In 2016, 6,662 Pakistanis were deported from Riyadh and 65,932 from Jeddah (including cases of amnesty scheme).

Likewise, 20,611 Pakistanis had been deported from Riyadh and 36,336 were deported from Jeddah during 2018. As many as 11,284 Pakistanis were deported from Riyadh and 24,533 from Jeddah during 2019.

Earlier last year in December, Special Assistant to the Prime Minster on Overseas Pakistanis announces that Japan will induct Pakistan’s skill manpower in its economic sectors.

Pakistan Ministry of overseas Pakistani and Japan will sign a Memorandum of Understanding in Islamabad on Monday for importation of skilled Pakistani manpower in fourteen different sectors.

The announcement was made by Special Assistant to the Prime Minster on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Sayed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari during an online interactive session with the expatriates in Islamabad.

Bukhari said the MoU will enable Pakistanis to work in construction, information technology, nursing, manufacturing, engineering and others sectors.
