Court extends Hamza Shahbaz’s remand

The Accountability Court extended Hamza Shahbaz’s remand. The remand is extended till 31st January 2019.

Hamza Shahbaz was brought to the court today. The court extended his remand.

It should be remembered that The Accountability Court of Lahore had extended, the opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz’s judicial remand till December 20th.

The court ordered had the accused to appear again on December 20.

The remand extended in Ramzan Sugar Mills’ case. Strict security arrangements made on the occasion to avoid any untoward incident.

Hamza wasn’t presented due to lawyers’ strike and security concerns.

The court ordered the NAB to submit a report on the reference.

Nab arrested Hamza after Lahore High Court rejected his applications for bail extension.

Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday had sought a reply from National Accountability Bureau (NAB) till January 21 on a plea filed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz for the removal of her name from Exit Control List (ECL).

A two-member bench of LHC heard the petition demanding to declare the decision of putting Maryam Nawaz’s name on ECL.

During the proceedings, the PML-N leader has requested the court to allow her to travel abroad for six weeks only.

Subsequently, the court has directed the bureau to submit its stance and adjourned the hearing.
