Federal Minister for human rights Shireen Mazari presented a report regarding the condition of jails.

While talking to media in Islamabad, Shireen Mazari said that the government is also looking at the matters related to prisoners.

Shireen said that it is necessary to solve the issues of prisoners who are facing trials.

She continued that there is a plan to make a separate cell for the Transgender community. The court had made a committee, it should announce the decision as well.

Shireen Mazari also talked about the missing persons. She said that it is the government’s responsibility to help release missing persons.

Earlier, Shireen Mazari had presented a stance on women’s rights in the senate.

Senator Waleed Iqbal had said that over 1 billion women in Pakistan do not own national Identity Card. Several women are deprived of their legal laws.

Senator Nuzhat Sadiq shared her opinion that we should not be unaware of women’s rights. Women should be granted independence as per Quran and Sunnah.

Federal Minister for Human Rights, Dr. Shireen Mazari in a tweet announced a commemorative awareness campaign to denote the day of girl-children a few months ago.

Taking to Twitter, the minister wrote: “Today on International Day of the Girl Child we are launching our awareness program on rights of the girl child through mobile Truck Art.”
